The Italian Foundation for Research in Agriculture Organic and Biodynamic (FIRAB) was founded in 2007 through the initiative of its founding members: AIAB, UILA, Legambiente and the Italian Association of Biodynamic. It promotes actions to experiment, action research, exchange farmer-to- farmer and dissemination and technical and scientific dissemination.
There are many applications that combine organic and biodynamic production and scientific investigation: what research? Without how? How much? Where? With whom and by whom? The Italian Foundation for Research in Agriculture Organic and Biodynamic (FIRAB) wants to collect and give answers to these questions.
FIRAB intends to facilitate dialogue on the themes of experimentation and innovation in organic and biodynamic farming, giving support and inspiration to basic and applied research that will result in concrete solutions.
FIRAB itself as an institution that, by promoting the connection between organic and biodynamic operators, researchers and institutions, wants to open spaces for an agroecological research actually owned by the agricultural world protagonists, encouraging to this end, research policies.
